EyeLotus began with a simple, uncomfortable fact: some eyes do not fully close at night.
For the people this happens to, morning is not a fresh start. It is burning, grit, and reaching for drops before the day has even begun. We started here because we understand it, not as a market, but as a morning we have lived.
Michael Zakaria, our founder, is a mechanical engineer who has lived with partial facial paralysis since birth, the result of a delivery complication that left one eye unable to fully close. For years that meant nightly dryness, irritation, and morning headaches, and a long list of things that did not work: ointments, masks, and ordinary medical tape.
So he did what engineers do. He set out to build a better answer, a soft strip that gently holds the eye closed overnight, softens as it sets, and peels away clean by morning. No drops, no medication, nothing that enters the eye.
Everything we make is still measured against one question: would this be gentle enough for the person we made it for? If the answer is not a clear yes, it does not ship.
